Based in Austin, TX, Vital Farms is the largest brand of pasture-raised eggs in the U.S. Expanding to Springfield, MO in 2016, this 82,140 sq. ft. egg processing facility utilizes three single slope pre-engineered structures. With a modern yet retro feel, the design focused on the need for a very high level of cleanliness. One of the biggest challenges we overcame was location. The project team was spread across the country making it even more important for clear and constant communication throughout the building process. There is also 18,500 sq. ft. cooler that houses state of the art egg handling equipment. Additionally, the finished project is eco-friendly and economically responsible.
