Safety Training

Branco believes that our employees are our most valuable assets. We are committed to our employees’ safety and health.  It is our commitment to ensure each employee receives proper safety training, including the recognition of unsafe conditions, and understanding the regulations applicable to his/her work environment.   This training assists our employees in controlling or eliminating any hazards and/or other exposure to illness or injury.

All employees of Branco receive an OSHA 10-Hour training, done in-house by a certified OSHA safety trainer.

Our Safety Training and Education

Training and Education can take many forms, below are some but not all of the ways Branco extends training and education to its employees:

New Hire Orientation All new employees will complete Branco’s New Hire Orientation.
Weekly Tool Box Talk Weekly job-site safety meetings will be held with specific safety topics presented by the Superintendent or Manager. Each employee is required to attend the weekly safety meetings. Topics include: Fall Protection, Excavation, Electrocution, etc.
Formal Job-site Training Job-site classroom setting, administered by a certified instructor. May involve the use of Videos, DVDs, and/or hands-on training.
Classroom training Structured classroom training held in a formal classroom setting, administered by a qualified/certified instructor. May involve the use of text books, hand-outs, and testing, etc.
Other Specialized Certification Crane Certification, ACI Certification, MODOT Flagger Training, CDL Truck Drivers, etc.
